As production designer for ShakesFEAR: At the Haunted Temple, Jill designed, fabricated, and executed an immersive theatrical experience recognized as Lincoln’s only professional haunted attraction.
She led the design team with a focus on audience engagement, atmosphere, storytelling, and a sense of wonder and fright. The project involved collaboration with actors, technicians, artists, community stakeholders, the local fire marshal, and ADA compliance consultants.
Jill’s responsibilities included:
- Completing C.H.A.O.S. training and certification in haunted-attraction safety
- Leading the design and fabrication team
- Developing scenic, animatronic, lighting, and costume concepts
- Managing budgets, schedules, resources, and production logistics
- Coordinating installation, operation, strike, and storage
- Creating a safe, accessible, and fully immersive audience experience
